Specialty Areas

Management Concentration

The Management Specialty offers students training in managing both people and work processes. Students are exposed to a wide variety of current management topics, including total quality management, organizational learning and advanced production management techniques. Students enrolled in the Management Specialty gain both a strong theoretical foundation and advanced management skills--a powerful combination that enables graduates to gain entry and advance in organizations. Brockport students learn first-hand the importance of customer-driven management techniques, a key to achieving organizational objectives.

Pre-law Concentration

The Pre-law specialization is designed specifically for business students interested in attending law school. Students completing the specialization are able to make informed decisions about pursuing a law degree, elevate skills and cognitive abilities that are key to success in a law degree program, and develop a fuller understanding of various aspects of the law, the legal profession, and the legal environment. Students who choose not to enter a law program are able to pursue related careers and graduate programs.
