With 26 full-time faculty members, the School of Business Administration and Economics is one of the largest on campus, with approximately 1200 enrolled students. We are housed in Hartwell Hall, the historic roots of The College at Brockport.
We offer a wide range of business-related majors and specialties, as well as four minors. A brief description of each major and minor is provided below. Please see the College Catalog for complete descriptions. Additional information can be found on the school's Academic Advisement page.
Majors:

Accounting Major - The B.S. in Accounting program prepares students for professional careers in accounting, business, and government. Students may pursue careers as Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) or assume positions in an organization's accounting and financial areas. Graduates are also prepared to pursue graduate degrees in accounting, business, or law.

Business Administration Major - The B.S. in Business Administration program offers the broadest choice of career paths and a firm grounding in all of the functional areas of business. It prepares students for entry-level positions in organizational accounting, legal, and management systems. Speciality areas of study offered are management and pre-law. Graduates are also prepared to pursue graduate degrees in business.

Finance Major - The B.S. in Finance program prepares students for entry-level positions in financial analysis, banking, corporate finance, and governmental institutions. Graduates are also prepared to pursue graduate degrees in finance, accounting, or business.

International Business Major - The B.A. in International Business and Economics program provides an interdisciplinary education that includes foreign language proficiency and cross-cultural awareness, preparing students for entry-level positions in organizations with international operations.

Marketing Major - The B.S. in Marketing program prepares students for entry-level positions in advertising, market research, product management, sales and sales management, public relations, retail management, non-profit marketing, and promotions. Graduates are also prepared to pursue graduate degrees in marketing.
Minors:

Accounting Minor - The minor in Accounting is for students who wish to develop acounting skills and knowledge yet major in another discipline.

Business Minor - The minor in Business is for students who wish to develop business skills and knowledge yet major in another discipline.

Economics Minor - The minor in Economics is for students who wish to develop economics skills and knowledge yet major in another discipline.

Finance Minor - The minor in Finance is for students who wish to develop financial skills and knowledge yet major in another discipline.
