Marketing Major

The Undergraduate Marketing degree at The College at Brockport leads to a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Marketing.  At the School of Business Administration and Economics, we continually assess student learning in an effort to help our students excel academically and to reach their full potential. One such way that we ensure student success has been through the implementation of, and adherence to, a set of learning goals for each degree. 

Students enrolled in the Bachelor of Science, Marketing degree must complete all College general education requirements plus four groups of business-related courses as follows:

  1. Entrance requirements for the major
  2. Corequisites
  3. Business core courses
  4. Upper-level marketing courses

Students without significant work experience are strongly encouraged to also complete at least one internship experience. Minimal course grade and program admissions standards apply.

Note: To satisfy degree requirements for the B.S. in Marketing, students must: (1) earn a cumulative GPA of 2.5, with no grade lower than C-, in entrance requirements for the major, to guarantee admission to the program; others may be admitted at the discretion of the Department of Business Administration on a space-available basis. (2) Earn a grade of at least C- in all in entrance requirements for the major, corequisite, business core and marketing courses. (3) Earn an overall GPA of 2.0 in all courses used to satisfy the in entrance requirements for the major, corequisite, business core and marketing courses.  For complete details, please see the college catalog
