Death Penalty Discussion Takes Various Forms on Brockport Campus

Brockport, NY - In Bruce Graham's Coyote on a Fence, two men are incarcerated in adjoining cells on death row. The prisoner with the background in psychotherapy works the system to his advantage for as long as he is able to, while the prisoner who is perceived as less intelligent, due to his racism and disreputable ways, is ready to meet his maker. Through his characters' conversations, Graham is able to accomplish something very difficult for most playwrights: he allows the audience to come to their own conclusions about the death penalty and whether or not it has any merit. Coyote on a Fence is being produced by The College at Brockport's Department of Theatre beginning on Friday, February 24, 2012 at 7:30pm in the Tower Fine Arts Center Mainstage, 180 Holley Street, Brockport.
