Late Night with Ellsworth Executive Crew
What is Late Night with Ellsworth Executive Crew?
The Late Night with Ellsworth Executive Crew is a student group who plans social programs for The College at Brockport students to take place on Friday and Saturday nights between the hours of 10 pm – 2 am throughout the semester. These activities are part of the Late Night with Ellsworth series, which began during the Spring 2008 semester. The program crew spearheads programs of various types (from brainstorming ideas through implementation of the event), approves grant requests for other clubs/organizations who wish to collaborate on events, creates and implements a marketing strategy for the series, and gathers assessment information about the series. The Late Night with Ellsworth Executive Crew and series are supervised by the Offices of Campus Life and Health Promotion & Prevention Services. Being part of the Late Night with Ellsworth Executive Crew will enable students to build leadership skills, enhance their communication skills, and provide them with program planning and management experience.
What types of social programs are planned?
The types of programs typically planned as part of the Late Night with Ellsworth series are dance parties, movie nights, and interactive games, however, the students decide what each program should entail. Creativity lends itself to many ideas! There are four committees within the program crew that cover areas such as “Arts & Entertainment”, “Health & Wellness”, “Recreation & Leisure”, and “Social.”
