Need help completing an assignment or just want to research a career area? We can help.

Career Services recommends:

  • our Career Resource Room: several hundred books on a variety of careers and occupations. Open 8 to 5, M-F with advisers on duty noon to 2 pm, Rakov Center

  • What Can I Do With A Major In...? our fact sheets on dozens of occupations and majors, including all of those offered at Brockport. Be sure to check out the right-hand column for recommended links for each career field.

  • Occupational Outlook Handbook: published by the US Dept of Labor, this annually updated book profiles hundreds of occupations in short articles about the nature of the work, the qualifications necessary, demand and salaries.

  • Alumni Placement Survey: our annual report on the most recent graduating class. We have years of data on graduates, including graduate schools attended, and jobs and employers by major. See where Brockport grads go.

  • To use Discover, sign onto the Banner Campus Information System to confirm your student or alumni status.  Once you have signed on, go to the Career Services link, and use the Discover link.  After completing a short registration, you can begin using Discover.

    Features

    • complete, current databases of occupations, college majors, schools and training institutions, and military occupations.
