The Career Compass is designed to help you think about your future from many different vantage points. In each direction, there are a set of questions that will help you to clarify your career direction in those areas. Some questions you will be able to answer immediately while others may require a little more thought.

Begin with “Knowledge” (north) direction to look at your interests, particular majors and additional schooling you might need. Continue on to the “Environment” (east) direction and answer questions regarding the type of environment you will be seeking. The “Skills” (south) direction will have you contemplating the skills you have and those you will need. Finally, the “Where Will I Work” (west) direction focuses on the location, size and type of organization you are interested in.Once you have answered these questions, you will be well on your way to navigating your way towards a successful career.

Transferable Skills: What skills do I have that can transfer from one job to another (customer service, public speaking, research)?
