Employers On Campus

Recruiters frequently visit the campus to hire graduating students and alumni. The three common recruiting formats are listed below. All employer visits are listed on our Calendar.

1. Individual Interviews for On-Campus Interviewing

These are individual interviews, usually 20 to 60 minutes in length. Resumes are generally submitted well ahead of time, and the recruiter determines which individuals they choose to interview. Further information on these employers is available to graduating students and alumni by contacting Helen Wunderlich at (585) 395-2392, or by visiting her at Career Services. You also should review the job description in JobShop. If you see a company in which you are interested but you do not appear to meet the qualifications, you may stop by our office 8-5 Monday through Friday to determine if you might be considered.

2. Information Tables in the College Union

These employers set up a display table and speak to all students about job opportunities with their organization. No pre-registration or pre-screening is required.

3. Job Fairs

These events bring many employers to the campus. Tables are set up in a large space and students circulate and speak with employers of interest. It is necessary to dress professionally and bring copies of your resume to be successful at job fairs.

Be aware that even though you missed a date, you may still contact these companies. They recruit here to hire and generally welcome inquiries even after their visit to Brockport. We do publish directories of with information about employers attending our job fairs if you wish to follow up.
