CAREER ASSESSMENTS FOR STUDENTS
Career assessments can increase a students awareness of their
interests, values, skills and educational goals. They also provide
suggestions for occupations that seem well suited to the type of person
they are today. However, they cannot make decisions for a student
and will not give an authoritative list of those careers to consider.
Assessments are tools to use for career planning but should not be
used as the deciding factor. It is also recommended that students
schedule an appointment with an advisor in Career Services to discuss
their results.
