Master of Science in Education in Educational Administration

Description

The MSEd in Educational Administration is designed to meet the needs of students enrolled in the School District Business Leader (SDBL) concentration of the Certificate of Advanced Study (CAS) in Educational Administration program who lack a master's degree, and is usually pursued concurrently.

This MSEd degree is not designed to meet any New York State academic requirements for teacher certification.

Admission to the Program

Students who wish to pursue this MSEd without continuing to the SDBL CAS program can apply to the MSEd with a SDBL-CAS cohort, as programs in the department are only offered in cohorts. These cohorts begin every 15-18 months. Students should contact the Department of Educational Administration to learn when the next SDBL cohort is projected to start.

Applicants to the program must have:

  • an earned bachelor's from an accredited institution
  • at least a 3.0 GPA in the highest degree earned

The application process originates through the Graduate School. The application consists of:

  • general personal information in an online application
  • one letter of recommendation
  • interview with the program coordinator
  • transcripts of all prior college-level coursework

For additional information on admissions or to start your application, contact the Graduate School.
