Psychology is the science of behavior. It covers the behavior of humans and animals, normal and abnormal behavior, and behavior across the life span. The field is concerned both with the development of principles of behavior and with their application to individuals, society and the institutions of government, business, and mental health.
What can I do with a psychology minor?
Any undergraduate student can declare this minor.
A minor in Psychology consists of 18 credits in the discipline, nine of which must be upper-division (PSH 300-499). Courses that are graded Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory cannot be counted toward the minor. A Brockport Psychology GPA of 2.0 is required in order to graduate with a minor in Psychology.

Two additional courses from Psychology course offerings, which can include additional courses from either category above. Since 18 Psychology credits are required, if a student elects to take a statistics course other than PSH202, then that student shall take an additional psychology elective.
