Sport Management Concentration

Michael Fox: The director has requested changes to the list of cognate courses. Do such changes need to be approved? Some are no longer offered. Initial senate proposal in 1983 noted a generally permissive advisement option. Also, when the major in this subject was presented to the Senate in 2006, it was presented as a replacement to the concentration. Why is the concentration still in the catalog?

Description

The College initiated one of the earliest undergraduate sport management programs in the world, having started its sport management program in 1972 and now offering students an interdisciplinary approach to the study of the business of sport, recreation, fitness and leisure industries.

Students should also consider the major in sport management.
