Counselor
Katie Cariola is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of New York. She obtained her Master’s degree in Counselor Education from Canisius College where she also studied Psychology and Criminal Justice as an undergraduate. Katie joined the staff of The College at Brockport Counseling Center in August 2011. Prior to starting at Brockport, Katie worked in a community mental health setting providing therapy to a diverse population of individuals dealing with a variety of issues. Some of her clinical interests include: working with trauma survivors; facilitating Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) groups; working with individuals with substance abuse issues, dealing with grief and loss, depression and interpersonal and relationship difficulties and treating clients who engage in self harming behaviors. Katie is a generalist in practice and her clinical interests include. In her spare time, Katie enjoys spending time with her family, being outside, and playing volleyball with friends.
