Biography
Julie joined the Counseling Center in the fall of 2010 as a part time staff member. Prior to working at the College at Brockport, Julie worked at two outpatient mental health clinics, where she provided individual and group counseling to diverse populations of individuals dealing with varieties of issues. Julie is a generalist in practice and her clinical interests include, anxiety, depression, anger management concerns, and interpersonal/relationship conflict. She also works with the practicum staff at the Counseling Center and added that she loves seeing clients/students meet their goals through the counseling process. When not at the Counseling Center, Julie spends her time at her private practice in Albion. She is also on the board of directors for the Mental Health Association of Orleans County and serves on the Suicide Prevention Task Force in Orleans County and as a Mental Health Consultant to Agri/Business Childcare Development Center (ABCD) of Holley. In her spare time, Julie enjoys reading, camping, playing the piano, spending time with her husband and two children, and going to Maine whenever possible.
