Psychiatric Nurse  Counselor

Biography

Tom is a New York licensed Registered Nurse, and obtained his M.A. degree in child/adolescent clinical psychology from John F. Kennedy University in California. Tom joined the Counseling Center in August, 2010. Prior to working at Brockport Tom spent many years overseas where he had posts with international humanitarian organizations and the United Nations serving the most vulnerable children and adolescents. He served in many different countries to provide emergency mental health services in refugee crises, civil conflict, natural disasters, and extreme poverty. In addition to general counseling Tom helps to coordinate psychiatric services and medication management. In his spare time Tom enjoys international travel and gardening.
