Biography

Sandra S. Vazquez, MSEd., LMHC, joined the Counseling Center as an intern in the spring of 2008 and later as an employee in 2009. Sandra earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and her Master’s Degree in Counselor Education ere at The College at Brockport. Sandra has worked in various areas of mental health practice, and has completed the certification to be a trauma counselor, specializing in sexual assault related issues. Her theoretical orientation is geared towards Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and she has a special interest in working with victims of sexual assault, crisis intervention, relational and self-awareness concerns.. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, relaxing, and sketching.
