FAQs - Fingerprinting

  1. I need to get fingerprinted for certification. What is the fingerprinting process?

  2. What is the difference between LiveScan and Ink Fingerprints? Livescan is a digital fingerprinting process that allows your fingerprints to be sent directly to the TEACH system. Ink fingerprints require you to request fingerprint cards from NY State, locate a fingerprinting location (ex. local police station) to have your ink fingerprints rolled, and then submit my mail your fingerprint cards (along with payment receipt) to TEACH. Please see Fingerprinting for more information on the fingerprinting process.
