NCUR 2012 - Ogden, UT

Three chemistry majors traveled to Ogden, UT, to present research papers at NCUR 2012, the 26th National Conference on Undergraduate Research, held at Weber State University March 29-31. The research of each of these students had been supported by award of a Summer Research Fellowship for:

  • Dan Dzandowski (Mentor, Margaret E. Logan), "The Impact of the Ligand on Palladium-Catalyzed Hydrodechlorination of Aryl Chlorides"
  • Carissa Williams (Mentor, Michael A. Brown ), "Analysis of Drinking Water for Trihalomethanes by Membrane- Introduction GC-MS".
  • Nathan Scharf (Mentor, Markus M. Hoffman), "Ion-Pairing of the Ionic Liquid 1-hexyl-3-methylimidazolium Bis(trifyl)amide in Chloroform".
