Department of Communication

Lambda Pi Eta

The Department of Communication at the College at Brockport recognizes the academic achievements of students and the promise they bring to the future of Broadcasting, Communication Studies and Journalism. The Department is proud to sponsor a chapter of the Lambda Pi Eta (LPH) National Communication Association Honor Society.

The Mu Delta Chapter of LPH provides students with the opportunity to be part of an extraordinary group of communication scholars. The Mu Delta Chapter of LPH is a student led organization that plans a variety of activities, including faculty and student research colloquiums, “meet the professors” social events, campus lectures, trips to academic conferences, mentoring programs for new students, and community service projects.

LPH is a prestigious honor society that recognizes Department of Communication majors who meet the following eligibility criteria: (1) minimum 3.25 in CMC classes, (2) minimum 3.0 overall GPA, (3) completion of 12 or more CMC credits, and (4) junior or senior status with 60 or more credits overall. Graduates students may also join the society if they meet the above requirements. Members are inducted into LPH in the spring semester.
