On behalf of The College of Brockport, State University of New York, and the university community, welcome to Commencement 2013. This promises to be an exciting time as we celebrate the accomplishments of our graduates.
We will celebrate on Friday, May 17, and Saturday, May 18, 2013. During our ceremonies, we will recognize our students and highlight our tradition, college pride and community spirit. We’re proud of our students and we look forward to celebrating their achievements.

Ticket Information: For the undergraduate ceremonies, there is a five-ticket limit per student so we can be sure that all guests can be seated in the SERC House of Fields. You will not be able to claim tickets until you have submitted the online Application for Graduation, due April 8. A limited amount of additional tickets may be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis depending on availability.
Live Streaming: For guests without tickets, we are offering an on campus alternate viewing location in the Jim and John Vlogianitis Gymnasium in Tuttle North, where the ceremony will be streamed live. Or, for those with friends and family that are unable to come to campus, the graduate and undergraduate Commencement ceremonies will be streamed live on the College’s website . Your friends and family will be able to watch you graduate from anywhere in the world. Make sure you invite them to join us!
Historian Lynn Parsons, who penned a biography of John Quincy Adams and is an emeritus professor of history at Brockport, will deliver the graduate address on May 17. Jane Clark '68, the dean of the School of Public Health at the University of Maryland, College Park, will address students at the undergraduate ceremonies on May 18. The State University of New York will award Clark with an honorary doctor of science degree. Read bios of our speakers.
