The Space
Beginning in the Spring 2011 semester, the Department of Community Development is providing resources for student organizations (including but not limited to athletic teams, BSG clubs, club sports, fraternities and sororities, national honor societies and student councils) and advisors.
The Space is a resource center providing training, tools and support for student organizations/groups at The College at Brockport. The Space creates a collaborative environment for you to work together with other student organization student leaders. Stop by at any time when the Union is open. The Space is located in Seymour College Union, room B105.
Some of the myBrockport benefits for student organizations:
- Create an online community with your current members
- Recruit and accept new members into your organization
- Showcase all of the great aspects of your organization
- As an officer, personalize the organization’s page (header, profile picture, colors scheme)
- Advertise your campus- wide events on the virtual flyerboard
- Create online elections and forms, as needed
- Share documents, photos, events and news both publicly and within your organization
- Collaborate with other organizations
What you will need in order to register your organization:
- The person completing the myBROCKPORT registration will become to the primary contact person. (We recommend that this should be the 2011-2012 president)
- You will need to have the names and Brockport email addresses of the officers, members and advisor.
- You will need to upload a copy of your organization’s current governing documents (if you do not have one, please click the link for a governing document template to complete).
- Don't forget to send an update to your members so they know about myBrockport and check their Brockport email for the invitation.
