Ed has a 30-year career in the field of human services. He worked with youth at Hillside Children’s Center and for the Town of Greece Youth Bureau. From 1987 to 2005, Ed worked for the NY State Department of Corrections as a Corrections Counselor, then as a Senior Corrections Counselor. He created and implemented various programs including HIV/AIDS, Domestic Violence and Victim Awareness. As a Senior Counselor, he was responsible for the administration and supervision of Counseling Units at three Correctional Facilities. Ed is currently the Director of Genesee Justice since 2005. He oversees the operation of various victim and offender based programs.Ed earned a B.S. in Criminal Justice and an M.S.Ed in Counselor Education at the College at Brockport, and has been teaching an undergraduate course in Restorative Justice there since 2004. He has been a Family Mediator at the Mediation Center of Rochester and a past President of Finger Lakes Restorative Justice Center (now Partners in Restorative Initiatives) where he is currently on the Board of Advisors. He is currently on the Board of Directors for the Genesee/Orleans Council on Alcoholism and Substance Abuse and the President of the Genesee County Criminal Justice Advisory Council.
