Daniel Varrenti

Daniel   Daniel Varrenti was sworn in as the Chief of Police of the Brockport Police Department on January 22, 2002. Prior to becoming Chief, he had over 23 years experience with the Irondequoit Police Department.  As a Lieutenant, Chief Varrenti was the commanding officer of the Irondequoit Police Department’s Special Service Section.  He was in charge of all criminal and youth investigation and was the Administrative Commander of the Multi Agency Drug Task Force consisting of six different police agencies throughout Monroe County.  Chief Varrenti is an expert in Eavesdropping Investigations and has authored and executed in excess of 1000 search warrants.Since Chief Varrenti’s arrival at the Brockport Police Department he has attained NYS Accreditation for the Department, and trained all officers in search warrant preparation, major case investigation and implement various professional development programs.  Additionally he has created an Honor Guard, Awards Committee, transformed the budget from 3 lines to 42 lines, balanced the budget, created an Explorer Program and reduced overtime by 50% since 2002.Chief Varrenti is also an FBI National Academy Graduate who holds a Master Degree in Public Administration and a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice.
