Youngoh Jo
Dr. Jo recently received his PhD in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University. He also holds his MA in Criminal Psychology from Kyonggi University and his BA in Psychology from Chonbuk National University in South Korea. While pursuing his master degree, he worked for the Ministry of Justice as a criminal psychologist and participated in several rehabilitation programs for juvenile offenders under probation and adult inmates in a prison. Before joining this school, he taught Research Methods, and Juvenile Delinquency and Juvenile Justice as a doctoral teaching fellow at Sam Houston State University. His research interests include developmental/life-course criminology and criminal justice administration. In particular, he is currently conducting research on the developmental path of crime involvement and its correlate with family, school, peer, and neighborhood factors. He presented his research findings at national and regional conferences, such as The American Society of Criminology, Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences, and Southwestern Association of Criminal Justice where he was awarded 2nd place in the Graduate Paper Competition. His recent research appeared in Asian Journal of Criminology and International Journal of Police Science and Management.
