Benoit Beauchamp (lighting designer) is a contemporary artist specializing in live performance. Beauchamp received his MFA in Scenic and Lighting Design from the California Institute of the Arts. Recent work on campus includes lighting design for a large number of dance concerts. In addition, he has been lighting many dance concerts and theatre festivals around the country with various choreographers and directors. Before moving to New York, he produced dance at the University of Virginia where he coordinated multiple dance residencies for the University, working with artists such as Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company, AXIS Dance Company, and various independent choreographers from the USA and Canada. Beauchamp’s lighting has been seen internationally with work that has been produced across the US, Canada, the UK, and Australia.
