Originally from Québec, Benoit Beauchamp received a BFA with a specialization in Theatre Design from Concordia University. Beauchamp received his MFA in Scenic and Lighting Design from the California Institute of the Arts. Recent work includes lighting design for a multitude of dance concerts at The College of Brockport. In addition, he has been lighting many dance concerts and theatre festivals around the country. Before moving to New York, he produced dance at the University of Virginia where he coordinated multiple dance residencies for the University, working with artists such as Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company, AXIS Dance Company, and various independent choreographers from the USA and Canada. Beauchamp’s lighting has been seen internationally with work that has been produced across the US, Canada, the UK, and Australia.
