Showalter is a dancer and choreographer originally from the Chicago area.  Her work has been shown at Rochester’s ImageMovementSound, the American College Dance Festival, Dance Chicago, and Lincoln College.  Showalter has been commissioned to choreograph to original musical scores for both the Heidelberg Music Festival in Ohio and the Vision of Sound touring concert.  She has performed in various venues most recently including the International Dance Festival in NYC. 

Showalter holds a BS in P.E. Exercise Science from Western Illinois University.  As a certified personal trainer, she has been working with college dancers encouraging them to seek healthy training to prolong their careers.  She has been teaching Pilates, dance, and gymnastics classes for the past four years.  Showalter is currently pursuing her MFA in dance choreography and performance at State University of New York College at Brockport.
