MAURA KEEFE is a dance writer and historian. She is a Scholar-in-Residence at Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, and has led audience programs at Princeton University, UCLA, and the Goethe Institut, as well as for the Paul Taylor Dance Company and the Martha Graham Dance Company. She has an ongoing relationship with the Festival Extremadura in Monterrey, Mexico and has traveled with Dance/USA to lead seminars for regional artists. Her current research investigates the relationships between dance and sports. She has an MFA in choreography and performance from Smith College, and a PhD in dance history and theory from University of California, Riverside. She is an assistant professor of dance at SUNY Brockport.
