Distinctive Education
Delta College is an innovative learning community designed to prepare students with the knowledge and skills necessary to appreciate the global possibilities and challenges of the future. This comprehensive program is one of three options in SUNY Brockport's General Education program. The Delta College curriculum consists of eight interdisciplinary and internationally focused liberal arts courses, a mentoring component, and integrated learning seminars that specifically correspond with work experiences in a given major or career choice.
Students complete their Delta College requirements along with any major
offered at SUNY Brockport. Throughout this course of study, students and
faculty address transnational problems, investigate current career trends,
and work together to become active citizens of the world. In this way,
Delta students gain a multicultural perspective, and reinforce their learning
by completing a foreign language competency and an international experience.
