The Department of Counselor Education offers three graduate programs below that prepare students for practice in different counseling settings. In addition, the department offers several post-master's programs.
Graduates from this program earn a Master’s of Science degree and are eligible to pursue New York State licensure as a Mental Health Counselor. Learn more about our Clinical Mental Health Counseling program.
Graduates earn a Master's of Science in Education degree that prepares them for work in colleges and universities in both college counseling and student affairs work. Learn more about our College Counseling program.
Graduates from the MSEd Program specializing in School Counseling are prepared for work in school districts in grades K-12 and for provisional certification as a School Counselor in New York State. Learn more about our School Counseling program.
