The department offers a Certificate of Advanced Study (CAS in School Counseling Online or as a Hybrid) for school counselors seeking permanent certification. This Advanced Certificate program entails completion of 12 additional credit hours designed to help School Counselors become permanently certified in the State of New York.

School counselors who aspire to leadership roles can pursue the CAS in School Counselor Supervision. The Advanced Certificate program in School Counselor Supervision also allows School Counselors to become permanently certified in the State of New York.
