THE JOSEPHINE F. MANNIX AWARD

The Josephine F. Mannix Award honors the memory of Josephine F. Mannix, Professor of Education and second grade supervisor at SUNY Brockport Campus School from 1928-1961. The Josephine F. Mannix award recognizes an outstanding undergraduate or graduate student in Elementary Education who has earned a strong academic record and has demonstrated excellent potential in the profession.

Eligibility:

  1. Be an undergraduate or graduate student in Elementary Education.
  2. Have a strong academic record.
  3. Have demonstrated high potential for success in the profession.

Criteria:

  1. Be recommended for this award by at least two professionals in the field of Education.
  2. Submit an essay (no longer than 1000 words) on the subject of his/her potential in the field of Education.
