THE BESSIE WALKER BROWNE
AWARD
The Bessie Walker Browne Award recognizes and encourages a promising
SUNY Brockport elementary teacher candidate whose achievement in pre-certification
reading courses indicates excellent potential for teaching reading
in elementary grades. This award honors the
memory of Bessie Walker Browne, a dedicated teacher of children, a
Brockport alumnus.
