On behalf of the Department of Education and Human Development and the Professional Education Unit at The College at Brockport, we extend our sincere thanks for mentoring one of our teacher candidates during student teaching. You may have decided to serve in this role to learn about new research and practices being taught at the college level. Perhaps you want to "give back" to the profession or your alma mater, or maybe you believe it is your professional responsibility to share your knowledge with a new professional. No matter what the reasons, we thank you sincerely. You are making such a difference educating a new professional as you provide real-life experiences and weave theory into practice.
As our teacher candidates work with you to impact the learning of students in your classes, we hope SBTE E-Resources can assist you during the student teaching process. For several years, a college-wide committee held focus groups with teachers, school administrators, and college supervisors to determine how to better support, and collaborate with our school-based teacher educators (SBTEs) during student teaching. Based on this feedback, and in consultation with the College's Information Technology Services (ITS) Department, the committee developed SBTE E-Resources.
If you have any questions or feedback about the SBTE E-Resources please contact Diane Maurer, Director of Field Experience and Certification at dmaurer@brockport.edu.
