SUNY Brockport does not have an initial certification program for applicants who have already completed a bachelor's degree. Eligibility to apply for initial certification in Childhood Inclusive(Grade 1-6) Education is contingent upon current enrollment at Brockport in an approved academic major at the undergraduate level. Education is not a major at Brockport.
If you have already completed a bachelor's degree and are interested in pursuing initial certification in Childhood, the first step is to first apply to the college by contacting Undergraduate Admissions for a Second Degree. The current list of approved academic majors are listed in the program fact sheets and the Childhood application (forthcoming July 2007). Acceptance into the college for a Second Degree does not guarantee admission into Childhood Education. You must apply for admission to the Childhood Education Program and meet the admission criteria as stated in the application. There is no initial certification program at the graduate level.

Please refer to the graduate information regarding eligibility requirements .
