The Department of Education and Human Development offers a variety of scholarships and awards for undergraduate and graduate students. To view the awards and criteria, please select from the following programs below:
|Undergraduate Childhood||Graduate Childhood|
|Undergraduate Adolescence||Graduate Adolescence|
To apply for a department award, visit: www.brockport.edu/scholarships/foundation and follow the directions under How to Apply. You will fill out the general application and then be matched to all awards (e.g., campus-wide) for which you qualify based on the preliminary information you have entered.
When applying for awards in the Department of Education and Human Development, you will be accepting a major responsibility, which must be given careful thought and will require time and energy. You should keep in mind the fact that the donors of the awards did the same thing – they gave careful thought to the development of the awards in cooperation with the Brockport Foundation. In doing this, the donors were expressing a commitment to excellence in teacher education; as a recipient you are recognized for your work and efforts here at Brockport. When pursuing advanced work in your professional area, the award will certainly enhance your academic records.
Please note: Some department awards may request that you list names of faculty members from the Department of Education and Human Development who have worked with you. Please do not contact these professors personally. Members of the Awards Committee will contact faculty for their comments.
Notification Statement: Award recipients will be notified by mail in early April. Names of recipients will be posted on the bulletin board outside the department office (282 Albert W. Brown Building).
Please contact Dr. Carole Pelttari at 395.5674 or at firstname.lastname@example.org with questions.
