Mission Statement

     The Department of Education and Human Development at The College at Brockport is committed to providing programs which prepare its graduates to meet the highest professional teacher standards for certification in New York state.

      The department is committed to preparing graduates who will be agents of change within the larger community and leaders who will promote and advance educational reforms, which improve student learning.

NCATE Accreditation

The Department of Education and Human Development is a member of the Professional Education Unit at The College at Brockport and is fully accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) for its teacher education programs.
