The mission of the Department of Education and Human Development at The College at Brockport is to provide programs that prepare its graduates to meet the highest professional teacher standards for certification in New York State. The department's faculty and staff are committed to preparing graduates who will be agents of change within the larger community and leaders who will promote and advance educational reforms, which improve student learning.
The Department of Education and Human Development is a member of
the Professional Education Unit at The College at Brockport and is fully accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE)
for its teacher education programs.
