Fire Training Day
On July 18, 2009 the Brockport Fire Department led a drill simulating a confirmed fire on the 7th floor of Mortimer Hall. Fire departments from the surrounding areas also responded for back up. Ladder trucks were put in place to rescue as necessary, an EMT triage was set up on the 3rd floor and outside, and volunteers were located throughout the building to act as victims.
Fog machines were use to simulate smoke, which can be seen coming from a room on the 7th floor.
