English majors at Brockport engage with our active and distinguished faculty to study the rich traditions of British, American and World literatures, expository and creative writing, and film. The department brings these disciplines to life through practice and discussion, bolstered by real-world interaction with the accomplished writers of our day.
After graduation, success for English majors takes many forms. Our graduates go on to careers in a variety of fields--teaching, writing, publishing, law, and business are the most popular--or for further study in MFA or PhD programs.
