RESEARCH INTERESTS

For the past nineteen years, I have been involved in the stewardship of water resources in the Great Lakes Region. Our research work has ranged from watershed protection to exotic species invasions and fate.

The aquatic research program includes an analytical water quality laboratory working on watershed protection, water quality analysis, exotic species detection and impact, fisheries, primary productivity, aquatic sampling, toxics analysis (mirex, photomirex, PCB's, DDT's, atrazine, etc.) in various matrices (water, fish tissue, human milk, sediment and air), secondary school environmental education enhancement, computer database management, eutrophication studies and plankton assessment and water quality studies on long term data sets in the Great Lakes.

I also serve as a Co-Technical Director and Quality Assurance Officer of a State and Nationally Certified water quality laboratory housed here at SUNY Brockport.
