EOP Honors Banquet Reminder
The banquet is soon arriving and anticipation is rising. Students, as you leave for break please be sure to notify parents, friends and peers about one of the largest events hosted at SUNY Brockport every year. The highly anticipated EOP Honors and Recognition Banquet will be held on April 16, 2005, in the Seymour College Union Ballroom. Faculty, we appreciate all of your support in the past and hope to continue receiving it in the future. Your presence has meant a lot to the students and the staff of EOP. Students, this is an early reminder to come ready next semester. Gentlemen and ladies, be sure to get suits tailored, dresses groomed and shoes shining. In slang terms, make sure you "step your game up" for the banquet. Please do not be discouraged if you do not have fancy clothing. We encourage all students to come as they are and support our EOP family. We will be providing periodical updates each newsletter, which will allow you time to prepare for this wonderful evening of celebration. We ask students to get active, showcase their talents and creativity, but most importantly attend. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this upscale, remarkable event, please feel free to contact Leonard Brock and/or Ida Rockwell in the EOP office (585) 395-2547, located on the lower level of Rakov. Thank you in advance for your support and contribution.

Caribbean King and Queen
The Caribbean Pageant, hosted by the Caribbean Student Association was a success again this year. Several Caribbean countries were represented by the diverse student audience.
The show was filled with dancing, music, fashions and of course we cannot forget the talent. There were a variety of talents displayed this year, from comedy, creative dancing, poem recitals, rap and an abstract dance piece. The competition was fierce. The contestants were judged on originality, creativity and confidence. The judges had a difficult decision to make in selecting the final winners. All of the contestants were great. A decision had to be agreed upon by a majority. The 2004-2005 Mr. Caribbean King and Miss Caribbean Queen are Mr. Darnell Pierce and Miss Aleshia Garvey. Both students are members of the EOP family.
Congratulations to the winners!
Next year we expect the event to be bigger and better with more contestants. You have an entire year to prepare for your part in the show next year.
