EOP Student Receives Outstanding Adult Student Award
Melanie Melendez attended the Rochester Area Colleges Continuing Education (RACCE) Awards and Banquet Ceremony for Outstanding Adult Students on April 13, 2005. Melanie was one of the three students selected from a large pool of nominees from SUNY Brockport. Dr. Karen Schuhle-Williams, executive director of the Metro Center and Special Sessions & Programs, presented Melanie with the award after eloquently speaking so highly of the obstacles she has overcome and of her achievements. It was an auspicious occasion for all who attended. A total of 10 colleges were represented and 30 students were awarded at the event.
