EOP HAS FREE TUTORING

Do you want to get the highest grades possible this semester and need help meeting that mark? The Educational Opportunity Program offers FREE individual peer tutoring services. Don’t wait until it’s too late! Now is the time for you to see your EOP counselor to request a personal tutor by filling out a Tutor Request Form. Tutoring is not just for students who are on probation; it is for any student who feels that he/she may need some extra help. If you are unsure whether you should get a peer tutor, speak to your EOP counselor for guidance. Remember, if you request a tutor, it is your responsibility to meet with your tutor at the agreed upon times and to attend each tutoring session prepared. This means completing your readings and other assignments prior to each tutoring session so you can identify problem areas where your tutor can help you. Please feel free to talk to your EOP counselor for more information on peer tutoring. Remember that we are here to help you achieve academic success above all!

The Student Learning Center’s Academic Success Seminars provide students with the opportunity to improve study skills. Two series of seminars offer workshops in time management, textbook reading, lecture note-taking, test-taking, and research paper writing. All students are invited to attend. For more information about the series, contact your EOP Counselor.
