FINANCIAL AID REPORT
Welcome back! Here’s hoping you have a fun and successful semester. Please make sure that you have carefully reviewed and understand all items in your spring student bill. Pay particular attention to Easy Money, the Alumni Fee, your meal plan and your financial aid. You also want to make sure that you are registered for the proper amount of credits and that you have affirmed your enrollment. To all new students, make sure you understand the mandatory health insurance fee and your related waiver options. Also, please make sure that you have accepted your financial aid and affirmed your enrollment. If you have any questions, please consult with your EOP counselor.
This is a critical time in your financial aid application process for 2006/07. By now you should have reviewed the financial aid checklist with your EOP counselor. Make sure that you and any applicable parents absolutely understand all your specific requirements. Please make sure that you and your applicable parent complete any needed tax forms ASAP. It is important that you always use accurate and timely information. Don’t forget that you must provide proof of having filed your FAFSA to your EOP counselor. EOP CHECKS WILL NOT BE GIVEN TO YOU UNLESS YOUR FINANCIAL AID FILE IS COMPLETED BY FEBRUARY 15, 2006. Any delay in this process could result in you not getting the best financial aid package that you can.
Congratulations to those of you who plan to graduate this term. There are several tasks you need to complete. Make sure you complete exit interviews with both the EOP office and the Financial Aid office. Make sure you are aware of your loan repayment obligations. If you are going on to graduate school, make sure you are aware of your financial aid application process and options, including the SUNY based EOP tuition waiver.
