Homecoming 2006 - Jimmy Neutron Is Our Idol
This year’s EOP Homecoming Float was a great success, not only because of how good the actual float was or how loud we were during the parade, but most importantly because of the hours of hard work our students put into building it. Our Nickelodeon theme this year was “The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius,” which incited our student’s creative juices to create a rocketship in outer space. Students worked hard for a whole week spray painting, drawing, and cutting materials into a Jimmy Neutron scene.
EOP is very proud to have such dedicated and committed students in our program. We would like to thank all of them for participating in making this year’s float one of the best in our history. Most of the students were freshmen who believe in the idea that we are a family. Thank you to Jenny Plasencia, William Turk, David Beauchamp, Ashley Baylor, Nazzy Romero, Leshawn McFarlan, Rod Wilson, Vanessa Babb, Huong Nguyen, Brian Brodner, Deonne Dowden, Stacey Gibbons, Carolyn Jimenez, Xavier Laing, Crystal McKay, Amanda Clarke, Shaunte Scully, Zurisaday Moreno and all the students who helped in some way or another. A special thank you to Corrie Layton who gave up so many of her hours to help us put this float together. Lastly, to our EOP staff, especially Latasha and Margery for all the help and support they provided to our students and the program.
Hope to count on all of you again next year.
