Letter From Margery Room
Dear EOP students,
It has been a privilege and an honor to be part of the EOP family. Sadly, as some of you may know, I will be leaving the EOP family at the end of the fall ’06 semester. I want you to know that I will miss each and everyone of you very deeply. The experiences that we shared together will last me a lifetime. How could I ever forget the night I was trapped in the rain with 75 other freshmen students? How will I forget the struggles of teaching beginners tennis? Follow through on that forehand Chris and Carolyn! David, no, you cannot keep my racket. Watch out for Josh and Nick, they can hit a tennis ball. How could I forget Quinton’s spontaneous proposal, Pierson’s hair, David’s EOP belt, Jenny’s obsession with duct tape, Will’s character Carl, the all-you-can-eat contest, BOOBY, Red’s serenade to Barb, Nazzy’s high-pitched voice and laughter, Xavier’s dancing, the twins, Twinkle and Yvette, Vanessa, the U.N. Ambassador, Stacey, who can do a makeover on a dime, the EOP boys and a girl named Monica playing basketball, and EOP doing the electric slide. Most of all, I will never forget the laughter, the tears, the joys and sorrows we have experienced together as a family. I will miss the opportunity to have new experiences with all of you, but I will never forget the memories made. I will miss each and every one of you.
Love,
Margery Poon
