Student Spotlight
In each newsletter, at least one EOP student will be given the spotlight to allow everyone to know a little more about what makes our students shine. To receive this profile, an EOP counselor must nominate the student for “The Student Spotlight.” No established criteria exist to receive this profile other than being an all-around great student.
| Student: | Cara Stowell |
| Hometown: | Canajoharie, NY |
| Major: | Accounting |
| Career Goal: | CPA |
| Counselor: | Dan Askey |
We have true royalty in the family. Cara was crowned the 2000 Dairy Farm Queen! You might find it udderly ridiculous, but it is true. Cara says that it was a truly mooviing experience. When you see Cara, make sure you congratulate her. She hopes to milk the experience for all its worth.
| Student: | Mancee Perry |
| Hometown: | Rochester, NY |
| Major: | Social Work |
| Career Goal: | School Counselor |
| Counselor: | Stefan McDonald |
Mancee is an extremely intelligent and highly motivated person. She is a transfer student from Monroe Community College who has made a smooth transition to the academic rigors of SUNY Brockport. She is also a counselor for an after-school program at Franklin High School in Rochester, NY. She also trains their step-team who performs annually in the Rochester Step-Off. Mancee is a unique person who is making a difference in the lives of others while enhancing her own in the process.
| Student: | Heather Naugle |
| Hometown: | Fairport, NY |
| Major: | Psychology |
| Career Goal: | Counselor |
| Counselor: | Dan Askey |
We have a genuine cover girl in the family. Check out the 10/06 issue of SUNY Brockport’s Statements. Heather is in the center of the cover. (We are not sure why she’s wearing a life jacket near the Alumni House). Heather has made genuine contributions to the college through her work with BSG. When you see her, ask her to autograph the cover.
