September 2008 EOP Newsletter
Let's Get it Started
As your director let me extend a warm welcome to each of our new freshmen and transfers to the EOP family. To all of our returning students, readmits and those who have been on leave, welcome back. I hope each of you is ready to begin a brand new year. Each of us in EOP is excited and we are anxious to begin a brand new year that we expect to be full of exciting achievements and a whole lot of fun. I want to extend an invitation to all of you to come and join in with us in all that we do this year. You can help by submitting entries and assisting in putting together the EOP newsletter. As you know, we organize many cultural and family events during the year to include our homecoming EOP parade float. We need you to make them successful. We will begin with an EOP Welcome Back BBQ on September 5, 2008. Help us to make it a success.
Now to the most important matter, Academic Excellence. The real reason each of us is here, is to assist you in obtaining the best grade possible. We call it academic excellence. We will initiate several new initiatives in our program this year to promote your academic success. So pay attention, focus, and let’s get this “academic party started.” Have a good semester!
