The EOP Pre-Freshman Summer Program (PFSP) is designed to give students a head start on college preparation and adjustment. Evidence shows that students who attend summer programs are more successful in college. The PFSP includes courses in writing, mathematics, computer skills, library skills and self-exploration. These courses are designed to strengthen and develop each student's academic skills and help them make a successful transition from high school to college. The PFSP is also designed to provide students with opportunities to complete computer skills and foreign language tests required of all entering freshmen. It is a time to become familiar with the College campus and the surrounding community, and participate in social and developmental programs.

It is our pleasure to welcome you to The College at Brockport Educational Opportunity Program’s 2013 Pre-Freshman Summer Program and to the EOP family. We have planned an experience that we believe will be both beneficial as well as provide you with a great start to your college career.

Summer program will begin on Sunday, July 7, 2013. You are expected to arrive on The College at Brockport campus between 12 – 3 pm and report to McLean Hall, the residence hall you will be living in for four weeks. A parent welcome meeting will begin promptly at 4 pm in the Seymour College Union Ballroom. This is the time for parents to ask questions and gain an understanding of the expectations and requirements of summer program. This will be followed by a full program student orientation meeting beginning at 6:00 pm in the Seymour College Union Ballroom. The summer program will end following a luncheon, to be held on Friday, August 2, 2013. We invite and encourage all parents and guardians to attend the closing luncheon on August 2, 2013 at 11:30 am. Prior reservations must be made by Friday July 26, 2013. The cost for lunch for parents and friends will be $9 per person.
