The Victor E. Schmidt Scholarship is named in honor of our dear emeriti Vic Schmidt who was first a student and then a faculty member in the Department of the Earth Sciences.  Vic was hired in 1949 and continued to inspire and engage students until his retirement in the spring of 1978. 

Victor was a remarkable man who remained active in his field, in the community and in his support of the College right up until his passing on November 28, 2005, at the age of 91.

This scholarship will provide monetary awards to qualified students who plan to study one of the earth sciences.  It is an endowed scholarship in need of building!  If you would like to make a donation to this scholarship, select the link to the right.
