Hubbard Broadcasting, Inc. Award

This is a two-year award provided by WHEC TV to one or two meteorology majors with junior status who are pursuing a career in broadcasting and meet all other award criterion.  (No application.) Up to $3,500 per two-year award. 

Departmental Scholar Awards

These awards are given to one student in each of our majors:  earth science, geology, meteorology and water resources who are demonstrating academic excellence at a junior or senior level.  (No application.)

Science Scholar

This scholarship is a two-year allocation available to multiple incoming freshmen who are pursuing a major in either earth science, geology, meteorology or water resources and who demonstrated a high level of achievement in high school and on SATs.  (Application.)  Up to $600 per award.   

Victor E. Schmidt Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship will be available to a student in any of the department's majors that demonstrates high academic achievement and extraordinary involvement in his/her field during the junior year.  (No application.)   Available Fall 2014!

Help build our scholarships!

To help build the Victor E. Schmidt endowment or add to one of our other scholarship funds, visit the Brockport Foundation's Giving website for more information and payment options.  IMPORTANT!  Pay close attention to the designation instructions if using the online pledge form.  You must select Restricted under the designation field and type in the scholarship name in the comment field (sample below).  You may donate to more than one fund by typing in multiple names and the amount of your total gift to go to each fund, or you may complete more than one pledge card.
